Terms of Use
Key Points in our Terms of Use:
Dietary change is your choice and not ours: the program and program staff are here to support you in pursuing your own dietary goals
Sustainable Diet Program and staff do not provide medical advice: no component of the program should be construed as such
Program authors and lecturers are nutrition experts but are not acting as healthcare practitioners in their role in this Program: they are not providing healthcare by delivering this information
This program is not a substitute for medical treatment under a healthcare practitioner of any kind. If you have a health condition and are changing your diet, it is important that you do so in communication with your doctor or other healthcare practitioner.
If you do have a medical condition, you need to be in communication with your PCP about your intentions to change your diet. Type 2 diabetes represents an example of why this is extremely important – radical changes to a whole food, plant-based diet have been known to cause rapid drops in blood sugar, and this is something a doctor should be monitoring, especially if you are taking insulin or are on other blood-sugar controlling medications.
If you are enrolled in the Complete Program, the Program Mentor is in the role of coach and the purpose of the one-on-one interactions is to help you with your own goals but not to treat or advise about any medical condition that you have
Sustainable Diet and program staff are not responsible for what other program participants say, either in the context of our program (for instance on our discussion forums) or outside of the program. They may share incorrect information directly or have incorrect information posted on their websites etc.
